Any request for the reproduction and dissemination
of printed public records shall be made to the Municipal Clerk as
the Custodian of Records, subject to the following fee schedule:
A.
Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation,
the fee assessed for the duplication of a printed record shall be:
first page to 10th page, $0.75 per page; 11th page to 12th page, $0.50
per page; all pages over 20, $0.25 per page;
C.
Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation,
the fee assessed for the duplication of videotaped materials is $10.
D.
Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation,
the fee assessed for the duplication of audio taped materials is $5
per tape.
E.
Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation,
the fee assessment for sending a facsimile transaction is $0.50 per
page.
F.
Where a request is for a copy in a format other than
a photocopy, reasonable efforts will be made to provide the information
in the format requested. The cost will be based on the costs of producing
the format requested.
G.
Where a legal determination must be made as to whether
records are “public records” as provided by law, the request
will reviewed by the Township Attorney.
The Township, by and through the custodian of
records, may assess to members of the public requesting the reproduction
of printed public records not immediately available for dissemination,
a fee for the reimbursement of costs incurred by the Township for
compilation of the printed public record(s) so requested, which fees
shall not exceed the sum of $20 for each man hour (on any part thereof)
expended by each and every public employee deployed by the custodian
of records to compile and reproduce the printed public records so
requested.
The Township Council of the Township of Saddle
Brook does hereby promulgate and adopt the following forms for the
request for reproduction and release of printed public record and
the municipality's response to such request, as set forth in Schedules
A and B, respectively, attached hereto and made apart hereof.[1]
