City of Peekskill, NY Article I Foreclosure of Tax Liens

[Adopted 1-14-1980 (Ch. 281, Art. I of the 1984 Code); amended in its entirety at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]

§ 521-1 Statutory provisions readopted.

The Common Council of the City of Peekskill hereby readopts the provisions of Article 11, Title 3, of the Real Property Tax Law for the purpose of foreclosing tax liens by action in rem. In addition, the City of Peekskill hereby provides for the sale of tax liens as is authorized by Peekskill Charter § C188(b), which Charter provision existed in January 1993 as an alternative to in rem tax foreclosure.
