The purpose of this chapter is to preserve the public peace
and good order on lands owned or leased by the Town or otherwise under
the control of the Town and operated as or made available to the public
as parks and/or recreation areas.
Town parks and recreational areas shall be open during daylight
hours only and otherwise closed except for special use facilities
designated for night use. When closed, no person shall enter or occupy
such parks or recreational areas except by express permission of the
Director of Parks and Recreation, unless they are members of authorized
law enforcement agencies or Town officials or employees acting in
the course of their duties.
The possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages with
intent to consume the same or the service or consumption of alcoholic
beverages is prohibited in such parks and areas, except for designated
special use facilities. No intoxicated person shall be permitted to
enter or remain in any park or recreational facility or area.
No person shall injure, deface, disturb or befoul any part of
such park and areas, including any buildings, lights, signs or other
equipment therein, or litter in such park and areas.
No person shall operate any motorized vehicle within such park
or areas, except upon designated roadways or parking areas. No motorized
vehicles may be operated therein at a rate of speed greater than 20
miles per hour. The foregoing shall not apply to authorized law enforcement
agencies or Town officials or employees in the course of their duties,
if so required.
No person shall loiter in any parking areas in such parks or
recreational areas.
No person shall set fire or assist to set fire to any timber,
trees, shrubs, grass, leaves, growth or any other combustible material
in such parks or areas. This section shall not prohibit the setting
of charcoal fires within charcoal grills provided by the Town for
public use.

No person shall possess or discharge any firearm, spring or air gun, or bow and arrow or any concealed weapon within such parks or areas, except as part of an organized Parks and Recreation Department program. Members of authorized law enforcement agencies in the course of their duties and Animal Control Officers appointed by the Town while in the exercise of their duties pursuant to Article III of Chapter 58 of this Code are exempted from such prohibition.
No person shall use unreasonably loud or obscene language, partake
in activities that result in unreasonably loud noise, engage in disorderly
conduct or interfere with any authorized law enforcement officer or
Town official or employee acting in the course of their duties. There
will be no electronic or other amplification of sound except by special
permit.

No person shall be permitted to engage in hunting, trapping
or fishing in parks and recreational areas which are posted to restrict
these activities, except as authorized by the Director of Parks and
Recreation.
No person shall conduct any commercial activity in, from or
upon any Town-owned or Town-operated park or recreational area without
the approval of the Town Board and the payment of a fee therefor,
the amount of which shall be set by the Town Board.
A.
The Director and Deputy Directors of Parks and Recreation, and their
designated representatives, are charged with the responsibility of
administering and enforcing this chapter. The Director of Public Works
shall be responsible for the proper posting of signs and similar work
in such parks and areas.
B.
Members of the New York State Police and the Monroe County Sheriff's
Department are also authorized to enforce this chapter and, in addition
to whatever other authority they may possess, shall have the authority
to eject from such parks and areas any person acting in violation
of this chapter.
