No person, firm or corporation shall engage in or conduct the trade or business of plumbing within the Town without first having obtained a license therefor, issued by a Code Enforcement Officer, and without having first obtained and filed with the Town appropriate liability insurance, disability insurance, workers' compensation insurance or an affidavit that disability insurance and/or workers' compensation insurance is not required. Such license shall be issued on forms provided by the Building Inspector and at an annual fee fixed by the Town Board.
The Building Inspector or a Code Enforcement Officer appointed pursuant to Chapter 64 of this Code may issue a license to an applicant currently holding a license issued by the Examining Board of Plumbers in the City of Rochester, New York, or a current license from an approved municipality or who has carried on the trade of plumbing for a period of at least 10 years.
