Each member of Borough Council, whether elected or appointed, pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall hereinafter receive compensation from the Borough of Downingtown in the amount of $2,500 per annum, payable in 12 monthly installments of $208.33, with payments to commence on the first day of the second month of the year.
The Mayor of the Borough of Downingtown, whether elected or appointed, pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall hereinafter receive compensation from the Borough of Downingtown in the amount of $2,500 per annum, payable in 12 monthly installments of $208.33, with payments to commence on the first day of the second month of the year.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon enactment by law, and shall begin with compensation for the month of January 2004, payable on February 1, 2004, for those officials whose term ends December 2003; and the compensation for the month of January 2006, payable on February 1, 2006, for those officials whose term ends December, 2005.
