During the month of January in each year, the Assessors shall meet and organize by electing a Chairman and a Secretary in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the Acts of 1945 of the General Court.
Before performing any duties, an Assessor must take the oath provided for in MGL c. 41, § 29.
The Assessors shall perform such duties as are required in MGL c. 59.
The Assessors shall maintain and keep in order maps and records of the office and furnish the information to departments as required.
