In accordance with Chapter 111, § 31, of the Massachusetts General Laws, and in order to further clarify the State Environmental Code, Title V, Subsection 310, CMR 15.303 Septic Systems Failing to Protect the Public Safety and the Environment, the Board of Health hereby adopts this article.
B.
Also, the possible contamination to the environment by substandard on-site sewage disposal systems presents a serious threat to public health. In addition, these systems may pose a threat to the sole source aquifer and/or areas designated as wetlands affecting the environment and public health.
