When, in the opinion of the Borough Plumbing Inspector, grease, oil and sand interceptors or oil reclaimers are required, they shall be provided and maintained, at the expense of the owner, in continuously efficient operating condition.
Grease and oil interceptors shall be constructed of impervious materials capable of withstanding abrupt and extreme changes in temperatures. They shall be watertight, substantially constructed and equipped with readily removable access covers. Where deemed necessary, cold water sprays shall be installed.
The design and pertinent data shall be submitted to the authority for review and approval by the local Plumbing Inspector, prior to the construction or installation.
Separators must be constructed entirely on the property of the owner and are subject to inspections by the Borough Plumbing Inspector and the Borough Engineer.
