This Board may prescribe rules and regulations regarding the working conditions of people employed in industries, factories, shops or plants whenever these conditions are a causative factor towards the contraction of a communicable disease, industrial disease, occupational disease or occupational infection and whenever such conditions are deemed detrimental to public health or the health of the persons employed.
