Notice of a violation of any ordinance regulating the parking of motor vehicles shall be affixed to the motor vehicle that is the cause of such violation. Such notice shall state the specific violation charged, the schedule of fines for such violation, the time within which the privilege of paying such fine by mail may be exercised, and the place to which such fine may be mailed.
A. 
All fines imposed for the violation of any ordinance regulating the parking of motor vehicles upon the public highways of the Town may be paid by mail addressed to the Chief of Police, Coventry, Rhode Island.
B. 
All fines paid by mail pursuant to this section shall be deposited in a depository maintained by the United States Postal Service for the collection of mail within 10 days from the date of notification of the offense. The postage cancellation shall be prima facie evidence of the time of deposit.
C. 
When the mail is used for payment of a fine authorized by this section, such fine may be paid in cash or by check or by money order. If any payment made by check is returned by the bank for insufficient funds, an additional check return fee penalty of $25 shall be paid within 48 hours of notification to the sender or issuer of such check that the check has been so returned by the bank.

A. 
No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle upon any street, road, highway or laneway properly marked "no parking," unless for the temporary purpose of loading or unloading.
B. 
No person other than an ambulatory handicapped person shall park any vehicle in a parking space designated for the handicapped in accordance with R.I.G.L. § 31-28-7.1(a).
C. 
Any person violating Subsection A of this section, not specifically addressed elsewhere, shall pay a fine of $15. In the event the foregoing stated fine is not paid within 10 days, said fine shall be doubled.

D. 
Any person violating Subsection B regarding handicapped parking shall be fined $100.

E. 
Any person violating this section, except those persons required to appear in court, may pay the fine at the police station, where a proper receipt will be rendered. The fine will be surrendered to the Town Treasurer.
