It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park or operate any motor vehicle or other form of conveyance, including, but not by way of limitation, minibikes, motorbikes, scooters, motorcycles, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, go carts, tractors and/or riding mowers, within the confines of any public park or open space of the Township of Byram without the express written authorization of the Township Manager and Township Council. Registered motor vehicles shall only be operated in designated driveways and parking areas.
This article shall not apply to Township officials and employees operating any such vehicles in the course of maintaining the public parks or open spaces or responding to an emergency.
Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this article shall be fined, at the discretion of the Judge, for each violation, a sum of not less than $100 nor more than $1,250 or be imprisoned for a term not exceeding 10 days, or both. In addition, any person convicted of violating the terms of this article shall pay all costs of restoration to the Township as restitution.
