No person under the legal age to purchase alcohol in this state shall be permitted to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage in a public place.
As used in this article, the following words shall have the meanings indicated:
PUBLIC PLACE
Any school, public conveyance, public place or place of public assembly, motor vehicle, and private property if the person can be seen by the general public from the street or any other public area.
Any person violating this article shall be subject to a fine of up to $500 or 30 days in jail, or both.
