The provisions of this article imposing a time limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule I attached to and made part of this chapter nor upon any of the streets designated as loading zones within the Borough Code, § 89-11.1.
No person shall park a vehicle, between the hours specified in Schedule II, on any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule II attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle, for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule III, at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule III, on any day upon any streets or parts of streets described in Schedule III attached to and made part of this chapter.
The streets designated in Schedule IV shall be signed and/or marked for forty-five-degree-angle parking. All vehicles shall be parked with the front wheels facing the curb or edge of the roadway. The streets designated in Schedule IVA shall be signed and/or marked for parking at an angle of 90° or less.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule VIII established in Article VII of any day upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule VIII attached to and made a part of this chapter.
A. 
Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway, an emergency shall exist, and no vehicle shall be parked or stand on any street, road or highway within the corporate limits of the Borough. This parking prohibition shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that on street parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. Municipal Parking Lots 1 and 3 may be utilized during snow emergencies in accordance with the provisions of Section § 89-10(D).
B. 
Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation of this chapter shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic. Any police officer or other official authorized by the governing body of the Borough of Lavallette may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.

No vehicle may be parked atop any curbing, save for rolled-top curbing such as that located in the West Point Island section of the Borough.
