[The salaries and compensation of the officers and employees of the Township of Middle are set forth from time to time by ordinance of the Township Committee. A copy of the currently effective Salary Ordinance is on file in the office of the Township Clerk and available for examination during office
hours.]

The salaries of the Township Committee, or any member thereof, shall
not be increased except as the result of a referendum placed upon the ballot
at a general election and voted upon by the electorate of the Township of
Middle.
