[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Middle 10-7-2002 by Ord. No. 1114-02. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The following means of transportation shall he permitted on bikeways within the confines of the Township of Middle:
A. 
Walking.
B. 
Running and jogging.
C. 
Bicycle.
D. 
Rollerblade.
E. 
Skateboard.
F. 
Nonmotorized two-wheel scooter.
G. 
Authorized motor vehicles
For purposes of this chapter, the term, "authorized motor vehicles" shall mean one of the following:
A. 
Township maintenance vehicles.
B. 
Township police vehicles.
C. 
Emergency management vehicles.
D. 
Public utility maintenance vehicles.
E. 
Motorized transporters for the handicapped.
No other vehicle or means of transportation shall be permitted on bikeways in the Township of Middle. The following are expressly prohibited:
A. 
Automobiles and trucks.
B. 
Snowmobiles.
C. 
Quads.
D. 
Trikes.
E. 
Mopeds.
F. 
Dirt bikes.
G. 
Motorized scooters.
H. 
Motorcycles.

Any person or persons who shall violate the provision of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of $1,000 for the first violation. For the second violation, the fine shall be $2,500. For the third violation and each violation thereafter, the fine shall be $5,000.

Violation of this Chapter 91 constitutes a breach of the peace.
