A sidewalk sale is hereby defined as the retail sale of goods on premises outside of but adjacent to a building wherein a commercial business is situate.
No business shall conduct a sidewalk sale unless it has made application for and obtained a permit for said sidewalk sale from the Zoning Office.
Each sale may be for a period not to exceed four days duration.

There shall be a fee of $50 for each sidewalk sale permit.
No business or commercial establishment may conduct more than six sidewalk sales per annum.
No merchandise shall be placed so as to prohibit pedestrian traffic or encroach upon designated areas. Each business shall meet all fire and building codes as they apply.
All signs promoting said sidewalk sales shall comply with all other township ordinances.
Any business that shall violate the terms of this chapter shall be subject to a fine in an amount not less than $50 and not to exceed $500.
This chapter shall be enforced by the Code Enforcement Officer, the Zoning Officer, and the Police Department. It shall be the duty of the Police Department of the Township of Middle to bring to the attention of the Code Enforcement Officer for further investigation any violations of this chapter.
