All of the fees required to be paid or paid under the terms hereof are intended to be annual fees but, when paid, shall cover only the balance of the calendar year during which the same are so paid or payable, unless otherwise herein provided.

The following are the annual fees for the various required Health Department licenses and permits:

Barbershops and beauty parlors: $35.
(2)
Ear piercing establishments: $45.

Food and beverage retail as follows:

The fees for reinspections necessitated by a conditional or unsatisfactory rating, given an initial inspection of a retail food establishment, shall be in the amount of the original license fee applicable to the premises, as established in § 261-63A(3).

License fee for tanning facilities: $50.

Health club license: $75.
B.
No fee for any permit, license or certificate issued hereunder shall be required of any person declared by state law to be exempt from the payment of any such fee.
