The operator of each motortruck proceeding northwardly
on Route 378, SR 0378, between the intersection of University Avenue
and the city line of the City of Bethlehem, shall operate or drive
his motortruck in a reduced gear between said intersection and city
line of the City of Bethlehem and have his motortruck under adequate
and complete control at all times while the same is operated between
said points.

Each operator of a motortruck proceeding northwardly
on said Route 378, Pennsylvania Legislative Route SR 0378, between
said intersection and city line of the City of Bethlehem who does
not proceed or drive his motortruck in low gear at all times between
said points shall be guilty of a violation of this article and, upon
conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before a Magisterial District
Judge in and for the Township of Lower Saucon, shall be sentenced
to pay a fine of $50. In default of payment of said fine and costs
of prosecution, each operator of a motortruck convicted of a violation
of this article shall undergo imprisonment for a period not exceeding
30 days.
This article is declared to be urgent and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the health, safety, lives, property
and general welfare of the citizens of the Township of Lower Saucon.
