The purpose of this chapter is to create a housing
agency to carry out the affordable housing provision of the Killingworth
Zoning Regulations, pursuant to the authority granted in § 8-2g
of the Connecticut General Statutes.
The Board of Selectmen or its designated agent
shall be the Housing Agency.
The Housing Agency shall implement a program
designed to establish income criteria in accordance with § 8-2g(a)
of the Connecticut General Statutes and oversee the sale or rental
of affordable housing constructed pursuant to § 8-2g(a)
of the Connecticut General Statutes and Article VII, Affordable Housing,
of the Zoning Regulations to persons and families satisfying such
income criteria.
The Housing Agency shall have the authority
to adopt regulations and to take whatever steps are required to implement
and enforce the affordable housing regulations, as well as all contracts
between the Town and the developer and/or his successors in title
or any other contracts, covenants or other rights concerning such
housing.
