The Director of Health or his certified agent
shall inspect all establishments providing food service within the
Town of Killingworth on a quarterly basis as part of the process of
establishing and maintaining food service operations in compliance
with the requirements of the Public Health Code of Connecticut.
A. Such inspection is to assure the cleanliness, health
and safety of the service provided by these establishments.
B. The benefits of such inspections inure directly to
the establishment for its food service permit.
C. The Town of Killingworth, to defray the cost of these
inspections, shall charge fees in accordance with the fee schedule
adopted and amended from time to time by the Board of Selectmen. Such
fees shall be paid by the food service operator. Thereafter, the Director
of Health shall issue a permit to the food operator or an endorsement
thereon indicating satisfactory compliance with the requirements of
the Public Health Code of Connecticut.
D. Where an inspection reveals violations requiring a
reinspection as stated by the Public Health Code of Connecticut or
when a notice of violation is issued by the Director of Health, additional
fees may apply for each reinspection required for compliance.
The Director of Health shall cause all of the
fees collected to be deposited to the general fund of the Town of
Killingworth through the office of the First Selectman.
Failure of a food service operator to pay the
fee due within 30 days after the inspection shall result in a revocation
of the permit to operate issued by the Director of Health.
