The parking and leaving unattended of motor vehicles in fire lanes, hereinafter designated by the Town Board, within the parking areas or driveways of hospitals, shopping centers and private apartment house complexes is hereby prohibited. Such prohibition shall not take effect until the area of the designated fire lane has been marked, on its perimeter, by yellow stripes and suitable no-parking fire lane signs erected.
The areas designated as fire lanes are as follows:
A. 
Fire lanes, Shoppingtown. The following designated areas within the Shoppingtown Mall, located on Erie Boulevard, Town of DeWitt, are hereby made fire lanes, all as are shown on a map filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of DeWitt or as said map may be amended from time to time by further action of the Town Board: an area or strip 32 feet in width, measured from the sidewalk curbing or, if there is no sidewalk, from the building, around the complete perimeter of the total structure known as "Shoppingtown Mall," except, however, all loading docks, all enclosed loading dock entrances and also excluding the area along the complete westerly elevation, parallel to Erie Boulevard. Along said westerly elevation, the fire lane shall be a strip, 24 feet in width, parallel to and eight feet distant from the westerly elevation of the building; also, an area or strip 32 feet in width, measured from the sidewalk curbing or, if there is no sidewalk, from the building, around the complete perimeter of the new parking garage structure; also, in front of the separate structure that contains theaters, a strip 32 feet in width measured from the sidewalk curbing.

B. 
Fire lanes, K-Mart and Price Chopper, 3469 Erie Boulevard East, DeWitt, New York. The following area in the shopping mall at 3469 Erie Boulevard East, DeWitt, New York, is hereby made a fire lane: an area or strip 24 feet in width, measured from the sidewalk curbing along the entire frontage of K-Mart and Price Chopper where such sidewalk is covered by the canopy, said fire lane being approximately 450 feet in length.
C. 
Fire lanes, Skytop Shopping Plaza, 600 Nottingham Road, DeWitt, New York. The following areas in said shopping plaza, located at 600 Nottingham Road, DeWitt, New York, are hereby made fire lanes: an area or strip 19 feet in width, measured from the edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage of the structure facing East Colvin Street; also, an area or strip 22 feet in width, measured from the edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage of the structure facing Nottingham Road.
D. 
Fire lanes, Nottingham Shopping Center, northeast corner of the intersection of Nottingham Road and Tecumseh Road, DeWitt, New York. The following areas in said shopping center, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Nottingham Road and Tecumseh Road, DeWitt, New York, are hereby made fire lanes: an area or strip 26 feet in width, measured from the edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage of the structure facing Nottingham Road; also, an area or strip 26 feet in width, measured from the edge of the building, along the entire depth of the north wall of the structure.
E. 
Fire lanes, Wegmans Shopping Plaza, 6811 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York. The following areas in said shopping plaza, located at 6811 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York, are hereby made fire lanes: an area or strip 44 feet in width, measured from the outer edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage, approximately 312 feet, of the structure in which the Wegmans store is located; also, an area or strip 30 feet in width, measured from the outer edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage, approximately 492 feet, of the structure facing East Genesee Street, in which is presently located the Cooks store, Service Merchandise and Fay's Drugs.
F. 
Fire lane, Wegmans Plaza, 4438 James Street, Town of DeWitt, New York. The following area in said shopping plaza located at 4438 James Street, Town of DeWitt, New York, is hereby made a fire lane: an area or strip 47.5 feet in width, measured from the outer edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage, approximately 268 feet, of the structure in which the Wegmans store is located.
G. 
Fire lanes, Shopping Plaza, 4465 - 4471 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York. The following areas in said shopping plaza, 4465 - 4471 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York, are hereby made fire lanes: an area or strip 32 feet in width, measured from the outer edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the frontage of that portion of the shopping plaza, approximately 103 feet, in which is presently located Rite Aid Drugs, Pickles Limited and the Hair Factory; also, an area or strip 23 feet in width, measured from the outer edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage, approximately 84 feet, of that portion of the structure in which was formerly located the Boardman store.
H. 
Fire lane, Kallusch's Shopping Plaza, 4455 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York. The following area in said shopping plaza, located at 4455 East Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York, is hereby made a fire lane: an area or strip six feet in width, measured from the edge of the sidewalk curbing, along the entire frontage of the structure facing East Genesee Street.
I. 
Fire Lane, Hechinger Plaza, 37 feet from curb to parking lot at a length of 309 feet in front of Price Chopper, then running 478 feet from Price Chopper to Hechinger at 37 feet from the curb run in front of the separate shops, then running 140 feet in front of the lumber storage yard at 52 feet from the curb run, then running a loading zone at a length of 160 feet in front of Hechinger, then running a length of 160 feet at 47 feet from the curb run.
