A. 
Penalties for parking offenses.
(1) 
Notwithstanding any contrary provision, the violation of any law, rule or regulation governing parking shall be punishable by a fine of $50 if paid within 30 days of issuance, except the following:

(a) 
The violation of any law, rule or regulation governing metered parking shall be punishable by a fine of $25 if paid within 30 days of issuance.
(b) 
The violation of any law, rule or regulation governing parking in or access to a demarcated handicap parking zone or space shall be punishable by a fine of $150, if paid within 30 days of issuance.
(c) 
The violation of any law, rule or regulation governing parking within a fire zone or fire lane and the violation of any law, rule or regulation governing the minimum parking distances from fire hydrants or standpipes shall be punishable by a fine of $150, if paid within 30 days of issuance.
(d) 
The violation of snow parking regulations for East Hartsdale A venue and the metered parking spaces on Columbia A venue as specified in § 460-20.1 during the period of a declared now Emergency shall be punishable by a fine of $250 for the first offense if paid within 30 days of issuance, and $500 for a second and each subsequent offense occurring within a period of 120 days, if paid within 30 days of issuance. Vehicles in violation may also be removed and impounded as provided for in §§ 460-44 and 460-45 of this Chapter.
(e) 
The violation of any law, rule or regulation governing the parking of a commercial vehicle pursuant to § 460-13 of the Greenburgh Town Code shall be punishable by a fine of $100 if paid within 30 days of issuance.
(f) 
The above fines shall be in addition to any surcharge imposed by a governmental agency having authority to impose such surcharges.
(2) 
For each 30 days that a fine for a violation is not paid, there shall be imposed a penalty of $10, with a maximum penalty of $100.
B. 
Penalties for other offenses. Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any other provision of this chapter which is not a violation of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $200 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $350 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
