A. 
The words and phrases used in this chapter shall, unless specifically defined herein, have the same meaning as set forth in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
B. 
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD
Whenever certain hours are specified herein, such times shall refer to the prevailing time standard in effect as of the date at issue.
UNINCORPORATED AREA
The area of the Town of Greenburgh not including any of the autonomous villages therein.
Authority for the enactment of the regulations in this chapter is provided in §§ 1660-a and 1662-a of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
A. 
For the purpose of maintaining an accurate record of all regulations adopted under the provisions of this chapter, there is hereby established a system of schedules, appearing as Article VI of this chapter, which shall record all regulations after adoption. Such schedules shall be a part of the section to which they refer. All regulations shall be adopted with reference to the appropriate schedule as indicated in the various sections of this chapter. Schedule entries may be adopted, amended or deleted by resolution of the Town Board.
B. 
Regulations and schedule entries shall be adopted by resolution of the Town Board in accordance with provisions of this chapter, Town Law and the Vehicle and Traffic Law, or by an officer or agency where authorized by the Town Board pursuant to § 1603 of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
