Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 190-37), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

A. 
The maximum speed at which vehicles may proceed on or along any streets or highways within the Village is hereby established at 30 miles per hour, except:
(1) 
The speed limit for vehicles proceeding on or along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II (§ 190-38), attached to and made a part of this chapter, shall be as indicated in said schedule.
(2) 
No person shall operate a vehicle within Lakeview Cemetery at a rate of speed in excess of 10 miles per hour.
(3) 
No person shall operate a vehicle along those streets or parts of streets in a construction zone posted as such by the Superintendent of Streets at a rate of speed in excess of 20 miles per hour.
B. 
No person shall operate a vehicle on any highway or private road open to the public at a rate of speed in excess of the maximum established by this section, except ambulances when responding to emergency calls and apparatus of the Police and Fire Departments.

No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that indicated in Schedule 111 (§ 190-39), attached to and made a part of this chapter, in the area described in said schedule, during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; except that on Liberty Street the speed limit shall be during the periods of time that the automatic flashing yellow lights indicate that it is a school zone with a speed limit of 15 miles per hour.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 190-40), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule V (§ 190-41), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right or all) at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 190-42), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 190-43), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 190-44), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 190-45), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
Trucks in excess of the weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X (§ 190-46), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.
A. 
A truck route system upon which all trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of 10 tons are permitted to travel and operate shall be as set forth in Schedule XI (§ 190-47), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of 10 tons are hereby excluded from all streets except those streets listed in Schedule XI, except that this exclusion shall not be construed to prevent:
(1) 
The making of deliveries or picking up of loads within the Village or within 1/4 mile of the boundaries of the Village.
(2) 
The repairing or servicing of vehicles within the Village or within 1/4 mile of the boundaries of the Village.
(3) 
The weighing of agricultural produce on scales located within the Village or within 1/4 mile of the boundaries of the Village.
C. 
This section shall not apply to persons who have obtained a temporary permit from the Penn Yan Police Department for passage through the Village on weight-restricted streets where no alternate route is available.
