[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Union 2-7-1979 by L.L. No. 1-1979. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize public servants of the Town of Union to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the Town of Union which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.

The following public servants of the Town of Union are hereby authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket with respect to violations of a state statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Town of Union as such public servants are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A. 
Building Inspector: building, zoning, planning, fire prevention, safety, licensing of occupations or businesses and parking.
B. 
Building Official: building, zoning, planning, licensing of occupations or businesses and parking.
C. 
The Highway Superintendent, the Commissioner of Public Works, the Highway Foreman and the Deputy Highway Superintendent: parking.

D. 
Dog Control Officers: violations of Chapter 71, Article I, Dogs, of this Code and the Agriculture and Markets Law.
E. 
Park Rangers: parking and violations of local laws that establish rules and regulations for Town of Union parks.

An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation shall be served personally or by any method prescribed in the Civil Practice Law and Rules, § 308.
