A. 
No hedge, shrub or other growth and no fence, wall, sign or other structure and no vehicle, object or any other obstruction with a height greater than two feet shall be planted, erected, placed, parked or maintained on a corner lot within a sight triangle, except that trees whose branches are maintained at a height of no less than 10 feet shall be allowed within a sight triangle projected. The height shall be measured from the lower of the grade elevation at the base, or the grade elevation at the adjacent edge of pavement or curb, or the adjacent property lot line.
B. 
No hedge, shrub, tree or planting of any nature located within a front, side or rear yard shall have the root stem located within three feet of the street lines of the lot.
C. 
Sight triangle limitations shall not apply along Main Street between Potunk Lane and Beach Lane where there are wide sidewalk areas and diagonal parking.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
INTERSECTING ROAD OR STREET
A street or road which affords direct access to another street or road.
ROAD or STREET
Any public or private right-of-way or thoroughfare utilized for vehicular traffic within the corporate limits of the Village of Westhampton Beach, which right-of-way affords access to more than one owner of property located thereon.
SIGHT TRIANGLE
The triangular area within a corner lot determined by the point of intersection of the street lines of the adjacent sides of the corner lot and by each of two points, one on each intersecting street line, each point being located 25 feet distant from the point of intersection of the adjacent street lines; if the angle created by the intersection of the two street lines is less than 80°, the measurement from the point of intersection to the two points, one on each intersecting street, shall be 25 feet plus one foot for each degree, less than 80°, the intersecting angle is; if the street lines are joined by, or merged in, a curve, the triangular area within a corner lot determined by the point of intersection of the extension of the street lines of the adjacent sides of the corner lot and by each of two points, one on each intersecting street line, each point being located 25 feet distant from the point of intersection of the adjacent street lines extended; if the measured angle of intersection is less than 80°, the measurement from the point of intersection shall be 25 feet plus one foot for each degree less than 80° the intersecting angle is.

This article III shall not apply to any hedge, shrub or other growth, fence, wall, sign or other structure, vehicle, object or any other obstruction constructed, or placed, so as not to impair or obstruct lines of sight or located or placed 25 feet or more from the nearest adjacent street line of the adjacent sides of a corner lot.

Every owner of real property within the Village of Westhampton Beach whereon there is located at present any hedge, shrub or other growth, fence, wall, sign or other structure, vehicle, object or any other obstruction which does not comply with the terms of this Article III shall comply with the terms of this Article III or remove any of the foregoing within 10 days after a notice of violation/notice to remedy has been sent to the property owner.

Any person or corporation violating the provisions of this article shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $250.
