A.
All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations in excess of five tons' gross weight are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVIII (§ 178-50).
B.
The regulations established in this section shall
not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise
or other property along the highways from which such vehicles and
combinations are otherwise excluded.
C.
All trucks in excess of five tons' gross weight shall
be excluded from all streets in residential zone districts, other
than state and county highways, and, further, they shall not be parked
or left standing in any residential zone district irrespective of
the character of the street, except for making deliveries or performing
a service for the owner of the premises. A commercial motor vehicle
having a registered gross weight of not more than 6,500 pounds may
be parked or left standing on lands in the aforesaid districts, provided
that such vehicle is stored and confined in a private garage. This
subsection shall not apply to those lightweight pickup or panel-body
trucks commonly described as having a one-half-ton or three-fourths-ton
capacity.
The parking or standing of commercial or freight-carrying motor vehicles is prohibited at all times while unloading or delivering merchandise to any retail store upon those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIX (§ 178-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
A.
In residential districts no commercial motor vehicle
shall be parked or left standing on any lands in said districts, except
for making deliveries or performing a service to the owner of the
premises.
B.
A commercial motor vehicle having a registered gross
weight of not more than 6,500 pounds may be parked or left standing
on lands in the aforesaid districts, provided that such vehicle is
stored and confined in a private garage.
C.
This section shall not apply to those lightweight
pickup or panel-body trucks commonly described as having one-half-ton
or three-fourths-ton capacity.
