A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a special event in the Borough of Media wherein food or drink is served to the public, whether within a building or outside of a building, without first obtaining a license from the Media Board of Health.[1]

Editor's Note: The Board of Health of the Borough of Media was dissolved 12-15-2022 by Ord. No. 1157. It stated "To the extent any duties performed by the Board of Health are not assumed by the County Department of Health, such duties shall be assumed by the Borough Health Officer or the Borough Code Enforcement Officer or his or her designee."
B. 
A "special event" is defined as any coordinated event where food or drink is served to more than 10 persons and such event continues for a period of time not in excess of three consecutive days. All persons or organizations serving food or drink at a special event shall fully comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Health and Agriculture and the Borough of Media pertaining to Public Eating or Drinking Places. Failure to comply with the provisions of the license and the standards may result in the withdrawal of the license.
C. 
The license inspection fee schedule shall be as herein set forth: $15 for each separate booth, business or organization serving food or drink as part of a special event.
