A. 
Penalties for violations other than violations of Housing and Zoning Codes. For violation of any provision of this chapter, any other chapter of this Code, or any other ordinance of the City of Bridgeton, with the exception of violations of the Housing or Zoning Codes, and where no specific penalty is provided regarding the section violated, the penalty shall upon the conviction of a violation, be a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $2,000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days, or both.
B. 
Penalties for violations of Housing or Zoning Codes.
(1) 
For violations of the Housing or Zoning Codes of the City of Bridgeton, where no specific penalty is provided regarding the section violated, the penalty shall, upon a conviction of a violation, be a fine not less than $100 nor more than $1,250 or imprisonment for a not exceeding 90 days, or both.
(2) 
Wherever the City seeks imposition of a fine in excess of $1,250 for violations of the housing or zoning codes, the owner or person responsible shall be afforded a thirty-five-day period of opportunity from the date of the notice to cure or abate the condition. Subsequent to the thirty-five-day period, a fine greater than $1,250 and not more than $2,000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days, or both, shall be imposed if the Court finds the abatement or cure has not been substantially completed.
C. 
Further, in addition to the aforesaid penalty, whether or not a specific penalty is provided in this chapter, any other chapter, or any other ordinance of the City, the Court may additionally impose a penalty requiring a convicted person to perform community service for a period not exceeding 90 days.
