Smoking shall be prohibited in all public buildings owned or occupied by the City of Bridgeton.
The Business Administrator shall implement this article by posting signs warning of the prohibition, and by taking any other actions necessary to ensure compliance with this article.
This article shall not be construed to prohibit smoking by employees of the City of Bridgeton in areas outside buildings owned by the City of Bridgeton.
Violations of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.

The use of tobacco in any form at Cohanzick Zoo is prohibited.

The following words and terms shall have the following meanings:
THE COHANZICK ZOO
All buildings, pavilions, habitats, parking lots, and areas known as the "Cohanzick Zoo."
TOBACCO
Any product made from the tobacco plant for the purpose of smoking, chewing, inhaling and other personal use, including cigars, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco, snuff and cigarettes in any form.
Any person who violates this article shall be deemed to be contributing to the maintenance of a public nuisance and shall be:
A. 
Asked to stop smoking;
B. 
Asked to leave the premises; and
C. 
Be subject to the penalties provided in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.
The Department of Recreation and Public Affairs is hereby directed to cause conspicuous signs to be erected at the entrance and within the boundaries of the Cohanzick Zoo, clearly instructing no tobacco use permitted.
This article shall be liberally construed for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the animal residents of the Zoo.
