An abandoned vehicle shall include any motor vehicle or motorcycle, wagon, trailer, semitrailer, truck or omnibus which remains unmoved in the same location upon the public streets, roads or highways within the confines or area of the Borough of Clementon, or in the same location in any public parking field or public place for a period of five days.
Any abandoned vehicle upon or in any street, road, highway, public parking field or public place in the Borough of Clementon is hereby declared to be a nuisance and shall be taken into custody by the Police Department and removed to such public storage place as shall be designated for such purpose.
Any abandoned vehicle taken into custody as provided in § 278-2 of this chapter shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the Revised Statutes of the State of New Jersey 39:10A-1 through 39:10A-7 and any amendments or supplements thereto.

Any person, association, partnership or corporation who or which shall abandon any vehicle within the Borough of Clementon or otherwise violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be imprisoned in the county jail for a period not exceeding 90 days or shall be subject to a fine not less than $100 nor more than $500, or both, or required to serve a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, in the discretion of the court, and each day’s continuance of the violation shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
