[HISTORY: Adopted by the governing body of the Township of Little Falls 12-18-1995 by Ord. No. 753 as Sec. 3-4 of the 1995 Revised General Ordinances; amended in its entirety at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II). Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
The discharge of any firearms, bow and arrow, crossbow, slingshot, air gun, spring gun, gas gun or any other device which impels a projectile through the use of force is prohibited in the Township of Little Falls.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:
A. 
Any duly appointed law officer in the course of his or her official duty.
B. 
The use of firearms when necessary for the preservation of human life.
C. 
The use of firearms when hunting in conformity with the applicable laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey.
D. 
Use of a firearm on a licensed pistol, rifle or firearm range and under the supervision of the Police Department.
Any person violating the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I.
