The Town of Chester, pursuant to the authority
granted by Agricultural and Markets Law § 305, Subdivision
6, as amended by Chapter 562 of the Laws of 1991, hereby intends to
extend the application of the agricultural exemption provided in the
Agricultural and Markets Law § 305, Subdivision 1, to include
the fire and ambulance districts within the Town of Chester.
It is herewith enacted that, in accordance with
New York Agricultural and Markets Law § 305, Subdivision
6, the assessment determined pursuant to Subdivision 1 of said § 305
for property in the Town of Chester shall be used for the benefit
assessment or special ad valorem levy for fire or ambulance districts.
This article shall take effect immediately and
shall apply to assessment rolls prepared on the basis of taxable status
dates occurring on or after January 1, 1992.
