Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 275-57), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
A.
No person shall operate any vehicle on any street or highway of the
village at a rate of speed in excess of 30 miles per hour.
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that indicated in Schedule III (§ 275-59), attached to and made a part of this chapter, in the areas described in said Schedule III, during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 275-60), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule V (§ 275-61), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 275-62), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 275-63), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 275-64), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 275-65), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The lane locations described in Schedule X (§ 275-66), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
Trucks in excess of the weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI (§ 275-67), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.
A.
No commercial vehicle shall be driven upon any street or part of street described in Schedule XII (§ 275-68), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except to deliver to or collect materials from locations thereon.
B.
Parking of commercial vehicles is prohibited on any street or part
of street in residential areas except for deliveries to residents
in said areas or for the parking of such commercial vehicles which
are being used in connection with repairs, construction or the performing
of service to or in a residence on such street in the residential
area of the village where such commercial vehicle is temporarily parked.
C.
No person, firm or corporation, or its representatives, agents or
employees, engaged in the sale or rental of automobiles, trucks or
other types of commercial or noncommercial vehicles used by it, or
them, in said business shall park cars, trucks or other types of commercial
or noncommercial vehicles in the public streets, highways, roads or
in the several parking fields owned and designated or under the jurisdiction,
control or supervision of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
East Rockaway.
D.
No person, firm or corporation engaged in the operation of garages,
automobile repair shops, body shops or gasoline service stations shall
park automobiles, either commercial or noncommercial, used by it or
them in said business, or owned by patrons or customers thereof, in
the public streets, highways or roads, or in any of the several parking
fields owned and designated or under the jurisdiction, control or
supervision of the Village of East Rockaway.
