Pursuant to Section 77-b of the General Municipal
Law, power is hereby delegated to the City Manager to authorize City
officers and employees, including himself, to attend an official or
unofficial convention or conference of municipal officers or employees,
or to attend any school conducted for the betterment of municipal
government, if in his judgment he believes it to be of benefit to
the City of Rye.

The Council hereby delegates to the City Manager
the power to authorize the payment of the actual and necessary travel
expenses of an applicant relating to his interview for any City position,
provided an appropriation has been made therefor. Where such authorization
shall have been granted, no claim for expenses shall be audited, allowed
or paid unless there shall be attached thereto a travel order or similar
documents signed by the City Manager.
