Any officer of the Fire and Police Departments may, in the event of fire, establish fire lines and appoint such person or persons as may be necessary to maintain such fire lines; and within the fire lines so established all persons shall obey the orders of the officers of the Fire and Police Departments and their duly appointed representatives.
There shall be no commercial occupancy at a new location within the City without a permit. A commercial occupancy shall include the manufacture, sale, resale, processing, reprocessing, displaying, storing, handling, garaging or distribution of personal property.
The Fire Inspector is authorized to fix the number of persons that shall be permitted at any one time in any room open for public use. A sign specifying the maximum capacity of the room shall be posted in a conspicuous place in said room.
It shall be the duty of the Fire Inspector to examine from time to time all fireplaces, chimneys, stoves and pipes thereto, ovens, boilers and all apparatus used in any building of manufactory which, in his opinion, may be dangerous in causing or promoting fires, and also all places where ashes and other refuse may be kept or deposited, and upon finding any of them defective or dangerous, the Fire Inspector shall immediately inform the owner or occupant of such building or premises of such defect or danger, by written notice, and order the same to be corrected, altered, removed or changed within such reasonable time as the Fire Inspector may in his judgment deem proper.

A. 
Safe and sanitary conditions shall be provided where demolition and wrecking operations are being carried on. Work shall be done in such manner that hazard from fire, possibility of injury, danger to health and conditions which may constitute a public nuisance will be minimized in conformity with generally accepted standards.
B. 
Access to utilities and public facilities, including, among others, fire hydrants, fire and police call boxes, streetlights and manholes, shall be kept unobstructed during demolition.
C. 
Gas, electric, sewer, heat, power, water and other service connections shall be disconnected, removed or sealed in conformity with the applicable regulations of the public utility or municipal agency having jurisdiction.
D. 
No demolition shall be commenced without first obtaining a permit from the City Clerk upon approval of the Fire Inspector and Building Inspector.
