This chapter shall be known and may be cited
as the "Skippack Township Property Maintenance Code" and/or the "International
Property Maintenance Code."
The Township of Skippack situate in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, hereby elects to administer and enforce the International Property Maintenance Code, 2006 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the property maintenance code of the Township of Skippack, in the State of Pennsylvania, for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition of such existing structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said property maintenance code on file in the office of the Township Manager are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 143-3 of this chapter.
A.
Section 101.1, the words "Township of Skippack" shall
be inserted where applicable.
B.
Section 103.5. shall be revised to read as follows:
103.5. Fees. The fees for activities
and services performed by the department in carrying out its responsibilities
under this code shall be as set from time to time by resolution of
the Board of Supervisors.

C.
Section 304.14. is revised to replace the words "[DATE]
to [DATE]" with words "April 30 to September 30."
D.
Section 602.3. is revised to replace the words "[DATE]
to [DATE]" with words "October 1 to April 15."
E.
In Chapter 8, Reference Standards, page 20 deleting
the International Zoning Code.
F.
Section 302.4: insert the words "10 inches" in the
space which reads "(jurisdiction to insert height in inches)."

Administration and enforcement of the code within
this municipality shall be undertaken in any of the following ways
as determined by the governing body of this municipality from time
to time by resolution:
A.
By the designation of an employee of the municipality
to serve as the municipal code official to act on behalf of the municipality;
B.
By the retention of one or more construction code
officials or third-party agencies to act on behalf of the municipality;
C.
By agreement with one or more other municipalities
for the joint administration and enforcement of this Act through an
intermunicipal agreement;
D.
By entering into a contract with another municipality
for the administration and enforcement of this Act on behalf of this
municipality.
Fees assessable by the municipality for the
administration and enforcement undertaken pursuant to this chapter
and the code shall be established by the governing body by resolution
from time to time.
