Upon the occurrence of any disaster or emergency, other than a labor disturbance, in any neighboring municipality, or except on occasions when on-duty policemen may have to leave the Borough of Conway on business, if the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee or the Chief of Police or the Mayor of said municipality requests the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee or the Chief of Police or the Mayor of the Borough of Conway for the emergency assignment of police equipment, auxiliary police and the members of the regular police force for the period of such emergency, the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee or the Chief of Police or Mayor, in his discretion, shall transfer the police equipment, auxiliary police and members of the regular police force to the requesting municipality in sufficient numbers and amount required in meeting the disaster or emergency period.
During said period, the transferred police and equipment shall be under the jurisdiction of the Chief of Police of the municipality to which they are transferred.
Upon the occurrence of any disaster or emergency, other than a labor dispute, in the Borough of Conway, the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee or the Chief of Police or the Mayor of the Borough of Conway may request from any neighboring municipalities the emergency assignment of police equipment, auxiliary police and members of the regular police forces of such other municipalities for the period of such emergency.
During such period, the transferred police and equipment shall be under the jurisdiction of the Chief of Police of the Borough of Conway.
During such period, such transferred police shall have the same powers as regular police officers of the Borough of Conway.
