Except as may be otherwise provided herein,
any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be
fined, for the first offense, not less than $25 nor more than $500
and Victim Compensation Fund assessment, or imprisonment not less
than 10 days, or both. For each subsequent offense, he shall be fined
not less than $50 nor more than $1,000 and Victim Compensation Fund
assessment, or imprisoned not less than 15 days nor more than 30 days,
or both. All second offenses before being punishable as such shall
have been committed within 12 months after the commission of the first
offense unless otherwise specifically provide.
