There shall be an Administrator of the Municipal Court who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. The Municipal Court Administrator shall serve for a term of one (1) year from the date of his or her appointment and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.

The person appointed as Municipal Court Administrator need not be a resident of the Borough of Closter and shall not be disqualified from holding said office by reason of his or her holding any other office or employment within the Borough of Closter.
The Municipal Court Administrator shall be compensated by an annual salary which shall be fixed and paid in the manner provided by ordinance adopted by the Borough Council.[1]

The Municipal Court shall also have such Deputy Clerks as may be required. The Deputy Clerks shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council. The Deputy Clerks shall serve for a term of one (1) year from the date of their appointments and until their successors are appointed and qualified. The Deputy Clerks shall be compensated by an annual salary which shall be fixed and paid in the manner provided by ordinance adopted by the Borough Council.[1]

The Administrator or Deputy Clerks of the Municipal Court shall attend the sessions of the Municipal Court and the examinations, trials and proceedings had therein. He or she shall perform such other duties and services pertaining to the Court and the business thereof as the Court may require.
