The Mayor and Council hereby make the following
declarations:
A.Â
The Borough of Closter has offered to provide certain
emergency radio and telephone communications services and the Boroughs
of Alpine, Closter, Demarest, Harrington Park, Northvale and Norwood
have offered to pay for such services in accordance with the terms
and conditions of an agreement which is on file in the office of the
Borough Clerk and available for public inspection during regular business
hours.

B.Â
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Closter has
reviewed said offers and desires to accept the same.
C.Â
The Borough of Closter is permitted to enter into
the aforementioned agreement with the Boroughs of Alpine, Demarest,
Harrington Park, Northvale and Norwood pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1
et seq., the Interlocal Services Act, and is required to adopt an
ordinance in order to enter into said agreement.

The Mayor and Council hereby agree with the
Boroughs of Alpine, Demarest, Harrington Park, Northvale and Norwood
that the Borough of Closter shall provide the aforementioned communication
services in accordance with the terms and conditions of the aforementioned
agreement.
The Mayor and Council hereby direct the Mayor
and Clerk to execute any and all contract documents which are necessary
to effectuate the terms of this article.

This article shall take effect upon final passage
and publication according to law and upon the adoption of an ordinance
by the Boroughs of Alpine, Demarest, Harrington Park, Northvale and
Norwood authorizing the similar execution of the aforesaid agreement.
