As used in this Article, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Any interest in real property, including but not limited to fee,
easement, option, license, tenancy, mortgage or life estate, but shall not
include a tax lien or tax sale certificate unless such tax sale certificate
is foreclosed by the Borough of Closter.
Any building, fence, fixture, sidewalk, pool, accessory or other
man-made object intended to be left in place for more than fourteen (14) days.
No owner, tenant, lessee or person occupying or in possession of any
real property in the Borough of Closter or any other person, corporation or
association shall erect, construct, place or cause or suffer to be erected,
constructed or placed any structure upon any real property in which the Borough
of Closter has a legal or beneficial interest, unless prior thereto permission
for such erection, construction or placement shall be obtained, in writing,
from the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Closter.
No owner, tenant, lessee or person occupying or in possession of any
real property in the Borough of Closter or any other person, corporation or
association shall enlarge, extend, reconstruct, repair or otherwise modify
or alter or cause to be enlarged, extended, reconstructed, repaired or otherwise
modified or altered any existing structure situate upon any real property
in which the Borough of Closter has a legal or beneficial interest, unless
prior thereto permission for the enlargement, extension, reconstruction, repair
or other modification or alteration thereof shall be obtained, in writing,
from the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Closter.
