Every dealer in old gold and/or secondhand jewelry shall keep a complete
record of each article purchased or received by him or her, with the price
paid therefor, together with the name, residence, occupation, age and correct
description of the person from whom he or she received the same. These records
shall at all times be open to the inspection of any police officer of the
Borough of Closter.
Every dealer in old gold and/or secondhand jewelry doing business in
the Borough of Closter shall deliver to the Chief of Police of said borough
every day before 11:00 a.m. a legible and correct transcript of the records
of the transactions of the previous day; said transcript shall be on forms
prescribed by the Chief of Police.
No dealer in old gold and/or secondhand jewelry shall sell, melt, change
the form of or dispose of any article bought or received by him or her within
five (5) days after said article is reported to the Chief of Police.
