The Town Attorney of the Town of West New York, in the County of Hudson, shall represent the Town of West New York, in all legal matters in which it, or members of the governing body in their official capacity, shall have an interest or be a party, and shall render such legal services as shall be required by the governing body or any member thereof.

The annual salary of the Town Attorney of the Town of West New York shall be as established by ordinance, payable in equal semimonthly installments, and he shall receive no extra compensation or fees for his services, but shall not be obligated to pay court filing fees and actual disbursements in the matters stated herein.

The title of the office shall be such as may be deemed appropriate by the director of the department to which the Town Attorney is assigned.
