The position of Code Enforcement Officer is hereby created. The Code Enforcement Officer shall be any number of persons appointed to that position.
A. 
The Code Enforcement Officer is hereby authorized to enforce and to prosecute all violations of every ordinance of the Township of Falls.
B. 
In every instance where an ordinance of the Township of Falls has designated a specific enforcement officer, that officer shall have the primary but not exclusive responsibility for the enforcement and prosecution of the ordinance which so designated him.
C. 
In every instance where an ordinance has not designated a specific enforcement officer or in the instance where an ordinance has designated a specific enforcement officer but such officer has not been appointed by the appointing authority, then the Code Enforcement Officer shall have the primary responsibility for the enforcement of such ordinances.
D. 
Every enforcement officer not a sworn police officer, who is designated as a specific enforcement officer as of the effective date of this ordinance, is hereby designated, in addition to his specific designation, a Code Enforcement Officer.
E. 
It shall be no defense to the enforcement of any ordinance or the prosecution of a violation of any ordinance that the Code Enforcement Officer rather than any other enforcement official is acting in behalf of the Township.
