It is hereby expressly prohibited that any water shall be pumped or allowed to permanently drain in any manner whatsoever, directly or indirectly, onto the Town highways in the Town of Barrington from any source except when permission is given by the Town Council or its designated representative in cases of emergency or special temporary cases.

It is hereby prohibited to have any private pipes, ditches, drains or other similar equipment that directly or indirectly pumps, drains or disposes of water onto the Town highways of the Town of Barrington.
Natural drainage from driveways and lawns are not to be covered under this article.

Any person found guilty of violation of this article shall be fined a sum not to exceed $50. Further, any person found guilty of violation of this article shall be required to pay restitution for the cost of labor and materials expended by the Town to remediate the violation, including, but not limited to, the cost to salt, sand, and/or remove ice from any public sidewalk or roadway resulting from the violation.
