No provision of this chapter which regulates traffic or parking along and upon any Morris County road or part thereof lying within the Town of Boonton shall be effective unless the consent of the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders has been obtained in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-197.2.
No provision of this chapter which requires approval of the New Jersey Commissioner of Transportation shall be effective unless such approval has been obtained in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-8 and other pertinent sections of Title 39.
A. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter (excluding parking violations) shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.[1]
