No person shall permit or allow any dog on the public beaches in the City of Brigantine between 14th Street North and the southwesternmost point of the City of Brigantine beach from May 30 to September 30, inclusive. Dogs shall be prohibited on the beach within the Cooperative Zone (the area between Sandy Lane and Bramble Drive) from March 15 to September 30.

This article shall be enforced by the Animal Control Warden, members of the Brigantine Police Department, members of the Brigantine Beach Patrol, members of the Brigantine Public Works Department, Code Enforcement Department and any City employees or officials designated by the City Manager.
Any person who shall be convicted of a violation of the provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 or imprisonment for a period of up to 90 days, or both, and may also be required to perform community service.

Any person who aids, assists or abets in the violation of any provision of this article shall be subject to the penalties herein provided for.
