There is immediately created the position of
Chief Financial Officer for the Borough of Franklin Lakes.
A Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed
annually by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.

The Chief Financial Officer shall assume all
of the responsibilities as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.
In addition, the Chief Financial Officer shall perform any and all
other duties and have such additional powers as shall be assigned
to him by resolution of the Mayor and Council.
The Chief Financial Officer shall meet all of
the qualifications required by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.

A.
Position established. There is established for the
Borough the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
B.
Appointment; term of office. The Deputy Chief Financial
officer shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval
of the Borough Council and shall hold office for a term of one year
and until a successor has been appointed and has qualified.
C.
Duties. The Deputy Chief Financial Officer shall assist
the Chief Financial Officer in the performance of his or her duties
and shall perform such other duties as may be directed by the Chief
Financial Officer or by the Mayor and Council.
