[Adopted 12-11-1974 as Ch. 14, Art. II, of the 1974 Code]
The position or office of Municipal Prosecutor is hereby established, whose duty shall be to provide the legal representation that is necessary for the interests of the Township of Waterford in the prosecution of cases before the Municipal Court of the Township of Waterford.
There shall be no fixed annual compensation for such Municipal Prosecutor at this time, but he shall be compensated for his appearance and legal representation in such matters or cases for which he may be requested to perform legal services, as aforesaid, as the occasion may require, and such manner of compensation shall continue until such time as might otherwise be determined in any salary ordinance that might be hereafter adopted in which a fixed salary for such position or office is included.
The term of such Municipal Prosecutor shall be for one year and shall expire on the 31st day of December of each year; provided, however, that each appointee shall continue in office following the expiration of his term until his or her successor has been appointed and qualified.
